I am having trouble with fuel. I pump the ball and fuel would arrive at fuel pump. It would then use all fuel in pump and ball then motor shut off. I rebuilt fuel pump (VRO). All seemed to work but when I pump the ball fuel spills out of carburaters and ther is no stop. WHen you pump the ball what stops fuel from over filling? Is it floats in Carbs? If there is to much fuel like this will moter flood out and not start?

time for carb cleaning and rebuilds, the float needle are not closing. you are correct. also premix your fuel, until you are sure the oil side of the pump is working correctly. no need to burn up a motor. i would rather have a little more smoke and be sure.

You may have a second problem than the carbs flooding.

If it keeps 'running out of fuel' you may have an air leak INTO the fuel line between the primer bulb and the fuel pump, it acts as if it is running out of fuel because the pump is sucking air.

Test by temporarily installing a clear hose AFTER the fuel pump and watch for any 'bubbles' while running, indicating air in the line.

Check all hose connections, a worn O-ring on the fuel connector may seal when pressurized by the primer bulb but fail and allow air to leak in when the fuel pump sucks on it. If so, either replace the connector or do away with it and run a new hose from the primer directly to the fuel pump.
