1998 4.3 wiring scematic

I am looking for a tapping into a 'key switched 12v wire' and 'rpm signal' in the engine bay.

Just looking to confirm, but can I use the power signal (purple - location 9) from ignition control module for the 'key switched signal' and the tach signal wire (grey - location 11) wire off the module for rpm signal?

Except for the fact you dont have O2 sensors ,it`s a waste of money

I have spacer plates that I bought off ebay to allow the usage of an oxygen sensor inbetween the two piece manifolds.

The only serial number I have is 0L047164.

I really hope it works. I only have those two wires left to hook up and I can attempt to fire it up.

ThaT is the correct manual.

PS: Just an FYI, That unit is not marine rated, and can be a fire/explosion hazard.

Isn't manual # 25 the one I need for my 4.3L?

Yes I realize that I am taking a risk and also why I put my *flamesuit* on. However with using marine fuel lines routed like a EFI marine setup and using the factory wiring for the fuel pump operation, I think I am being *smart* about it.

That being said, am I looking at tapping into the correct wiring in the engine bay? Thanks for your time so far Don, you have always given "appropriate advice" that is worth listening too.

I will confirm that those two wires work well for tach signal and for switched key signal. And that it runs and idles nicely so far.
