1998 75hp Force exhaust plate question

I would appreciate some advice on whether or not to remove and inspect the exhaust plates on my engine. I like to keep the maintenance up & keep ahead of problems. The engine has done 150 hours, runs well, used mostly in fresh water but the last two years, since I?ve owned it, has been salt water use(always flush after use). I get a small deposit of salt crystals forming the bottom, rear corner of the exhaust plate but no water leaking when running. As far as I know they have never been removed.
I have a workshop manual, worked on car engines before but am new to outboards. I have read previous post on this forum about bolts seizing & breaking off and am not keen on this idea.
Is there a good reason for checking the plate & risking broken bolts or am I just worrying about nothing?

Thats an area that really needs no attention unless it starts to leak.
Salt water will mess with lots of bolts and nuts.I wouldn't mess with it.
If you really want to do something there are products to help flush your motor.Yamaha makes a flush.Lime away products are good.
But keep up the flushing with fresh water.J
