1998 bayliner OMC cobra inboard 2.3 ford motor with a rochestor 2 barrel

i have a rochester 2 barrel carb with electric choke. on the choke side, where the butter flys hook up there is a return spring. how to you hook it up correctly? its on a ford 2.3 OMC cobra

Did you ever get this figured out? I have a broken spring and no idea where it goes. If possible can you post a picture?

You will be much better off putting this in the OMS I/O section
Should get more and better results.
