Hi everyone, been awhile since I've been in iboats forum. Need a couple of questions answered. 1. I have a 1998 Crestliner 1850 Tournament SC, 18'2" lg. I need to know if I have a 43 gal. gas tank. I've had it in dry storage for 2 years with half a tank of fuel. First year in storage I had put Stay-Bil in the tank and did nothing the second year. I know I will have to drain out the fuel but can not find a way to drain the fuel tank. 2. Will I need to pull up the floor boards to get to the tank and if so where is the tank located. Any and all information greatly appreciated.

Re: 1998 Crestliner Gas Tank

You should be able to get the fuel out of the hose at the outboard connection. Either pump it out with the bulb or use something to hang below the tank so it will drain on its own. Call Crestliner for the fuel tank information. Don't email as they don't respond. I bought my 1996 Crestliner Phantom 2160 this past May of 2007 and called Crestliner to get some information. They sent me the sales brochure for model year 1996 which had all of the specifications for my boat along with some pictures. They did this for free and I received it within a few days. They were very helpful and friendly.

Re: 1998 Crestliner Gas Tank

I wonder if they would have anything on my oldie? Was wondering if I should remove the tank to clean it out?Whatever gas is in there is eleven years old.If so what is recomended to flush it out with?Thinking about replacing all the fuel lines just for piece of mind.Since everything is all exposed and easy access now.Any feedback on that is welcomed.Hope you dont mind sharing your thread Wild Bill? Good luck with yours!
