Hello everyone, I’m trying to figure out the original configuration of the rear seating.
I recently acquired the boat and the previous owner had made a wooden box/bench support that appears to be homemade. I do not believe it is original.
I’m trying to determine:
  • What the factory rear seat base looked like
  • How best to build a base that would allow for this to not just be a seat but a lounge when pulled out.
If anyone owns (or has owned) a Crownline 225 BR from this era, I would really appreciate any pictures or information you can share.
I’ve attached pictures of what I have.
Thanks!Bench seat.jpgBench.jpg

From what I've been able to figure out, the white and green seat cushions are supposed to slide out and convert into a sun lounge. As you mentioned it was probably rotted and replaced.

Does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the original base? Even rough measurements (length, width, and height) would be a huge help so I can build something close to factory.

If anyone has one apart, photos of the base or the slide mechanism would also be greatly appreciated. I'm also open to suggestions if someone has come up with a good replacement design.

Thanks in advance!
