I think I'm confusing myself with the manual...............(it's not hard to do :facepalm can someone confirm deny the below picture is correct?

If you look close, the top right cylinder is higher up on the crankshaft than the top left. That makes it #1.

Makes it #1 on all Evinrude/johnsons. NOt just your motor.

Numbers are on the casting on mine near coils

I've re-torqed the head ( though they were both fine)and am taking her out tomorrow for another blast.
