1998 Force 90HP, 350 hours....any good ??

I'm looking at buying a Bayliner bowrider with a decent condition 1998 Force 90HP outboard and I have some questions.

Who owned Force at that point? Mercury?
If so, is this basically a Mercury outboard with a different color cowl or was there a mechanical difference?
When did Force stop making motors, was this near the end?
Are parts still available for this motor.
Where they any good?

... at 18 hours a year avg its a cream puff, but it does matter how it was run and maintained. here is a thread on this topic with a couple more good threads within it.
