I'm debating a purchase on one of these, and a little apprehensive... This would be our first boat, and I'm not sure if my concerns are rational....

There is limited information on this boat out there. I have seen much forum activity.

I realize most of these boats are just a sum of parts from a ton of different manufacturers, so how concerned should I be that this model isn't widely dispersed, wasn't even made by Larsen (has Carver tags on it) -- where can I find parts or detail on it for repairs?

Does anyone have any good data on this vessel? We love the styling, but worried about future issues. Were there known issues on these?

Any help appreciated....

Re: 1998 Larson Cabrio 310

Take the plunge if it looks sound, systems overall look good, and it fits your budget (value). The NADA value is about $36K. If you need additional looking, you can get a survey (about $600) and a mechanical review (hourly but about $300) and get a couple more overall opinions. I did the same on the exact same boat and year just last week! You go into the purchase with more ideas on what to expect on up-front needs. I expect to spend about $5K getting it back up to my expectations (and its a boat so probably more than that as I go).
