Ok I am working on a 1998 150hp EFI Mercury Outboard. the serial number is og680315. The motor turns over but does not start.
I have checked for spark which is good on all 6 cylinders. I checked fuel pressure and have 39lbs which is what the manual says it should be. I checked the air temp sensor the watertemp sensor theand all other sensors that the manual says and all are with in spec. i opened the induction manifold and checked voltage at all injectors and all are showing 12volts to them.
I am about to pull the rest of my hair out on this one.
According to the manual for this year the ecm only runs the efi. the trigger and switchbox run the ignition. I dont know where else to check.
oh every once in awhile the thing will pop like a back fire. Ive checked the timing and it seems to be on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
