I guess in the world of boats mine is antique !
I could get no help from Lund they referred me to a dealer, which contacted Lund that said for a boat it's age no wiring schematic is available ! Why they did not tell me that ???
This is hard to swallow ! 1998 is old ?
I am a 1956 model which would make me a dinasaur if I was a boat.
Anyone know where I might find a wire schematic for a 1998 1800 pro-v ?
Thanks

I'm in the same position you are but a little older boat. I'm redoing a 1988 pro v from the bottom up. the next phase is the wiring, there are two ways of doing this, one is do it wire by wire, the other is find a marine mechanic willing to do something like this on the side. One thing I learned is do it right the first time don't take short cuts. I hope this helps let me know if you need any other help.

Thanks for the reply
That is my way of doing things ! I dont like to dive into things blind, I like things neat and clean and done correct.
Unlike my other hobbies in the past where you can do a little research online and get tons of opinions and advice, some good some bad ! Or just buy any service manual you need.
But in the world of boats, it seems to me that manufactors and dealers like to corner the market. It is top secret see your local dealer !
Problem is not everyone can handle $80.00 to $90.00 hr to get there problems solved for them, and that is why I have always done my own stuff.
If you can read and are mechanically inclined a little, in most cases you can overcome most problems.
I dont have that much to do, I just want to have an idea of what I am looking at before diving in.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I too like you always do some prior reading before diving in. Sometimes dealers not all but some, you have to guestion. For example one lund dealer told me to use pt plywood on the floor, after some digging i found that pt plywood corrodes aluminum. because of the copper in the treatment of the wood. The wiring in a lund is pretty simple, just follow the color standard for marine application you'll be ok. It will take time. It took me several months of looking things up even before I started taking things apart. Hope this helps
