Ok found an 1998 Python Venom 21' ft bowrider it has 250 hours on it. It has Mercruiser 350 Magnum and Alpha 1 drive on it. Motors starts and runs good. I know that the coupler is bad and needs to be changed (thats why he is selling) I have done a couple before and not worried about that. What I am concerned with is the paint condition and interior condition. I have never owned boats that never needed work on those areas. So I don't know alot about that stuff. So here are some pics and tell me what you think. The guy is offering 4500 w aluminum trailer but I was going to try to get it for 3000. Thanks for the input

Do the floor and stringers seem to be solid? If so I'd say that's a great find at $3000. It looks like most of the vinyl issues are at the seams. No cracks from being weathered. You could wet sand and polish or a coat of vaseline would make it look brand new for a month or two.

The floor and stringers are solid. I don't know if replacing the gelcoat will fix the paint. The interior is something I can def. tackle, but not sure if the boat has to be painted if its worth it or not.

Looks like there is some damage to the gel coat. Is it only in that one area? I would say the white gel would be reasonably easy to fix....having said that I haven't actually attempted a repair like that one. The rest of it just looks oxidized, you should be able to wet sand and buff that out. I would look carefully for any signs of "rigging" the floor....seen that a lot on here.

There are quite a few resources online for gelcoat repair. Check out youtube. As for the rest of the hull, you should be able to restore the finish no problem.
