Iam thinking about trading for this boat. It will be the first one that I own and I would like to know if it is a good boat to go with. I am looking for a fishing/ skiing boat, would this be an okay one to go with? Thank you!

Any responses would be appreciated!

Thanks again

Any idea who the manufacturer is? What is the engine size and type? Length? What are you trading for it?

Ok the engine i think is GM V6 190 HP, inboard / Volvo Penta outdrive. That is what it says. I hope this helps!

Re: 1998 SE 195 question

If it's the V6 190HP then it's a reasonable boat for skiing, the 3.0L engines are a little light for skiing, the 4.3L V6 is a reasonable engine and the 5.4/5.7L are great for skiing, but heavy on fuel!! I have the older version of this boat with the same engine but an Alpha outdrive and it tows my two daughters (8 & 10) on ski's or toys behind the boat without any problem. I have not fished from it, so have no idea if it's any good for that. Glastron is a solid built boat, so I think it would be a good first boat for you. I highly recomend taking a boater safety course to avoid some of the first time mistakes (driving up the ramp with the outdrive lowered, etc) and to gain a better understanding of the various boating laws in your area..
