1998 Searay 210 motor shut off and wont turn over

I was out Sunday cruising along and motor shut off. It was running 2000 rpm and 160 deg. (1998 Merc 5.7 160 hours on it) I had it towed back and noticed a brown milky material coming from pvc. I went todo compression check and could not get it to turn over just clicked. I tried to turn crank and would not move.I removed the belt to see if something was locked up. I but a breaker bar on crank and it would budge. :facepalm: I pulled plugs they looked normal. Motor was winterized correctly last year and it stays in heated storage. Does anyone have an idea on what to do next to determine what went bad?

You need a new motor, most likely do to a cracked block from improper winterization.

Ayuh,... Probably oughta drain the oil, 'n see what you've got, both volume, 'n content....

Have ya Checked the oil level,..??

yes checked oil before I went out it was level and clean. the starter was replaced recently?

Ayuh,.... What about Now, After the fact,..??

can't feature the starter plays into it, but Anything is possible...

Pull the Drive, so's ya know whether yer dealin' with a stuck motor, or drive...

If the oil level was ok when you left, and milky oil was coming out of the PCV valve when the engine quit running, then you need a new engine.
