The story behind this one is that it was parked in a floating dock on Lake Travis in Austin, TX. ~2008 or so we entered a drought and Lake Travis levels dropped down. Eventually this boat was parked and covered. It sat in the dock on dry sand for a few years. I'm not sure when exactly. Just in the last few months we've had enough rain to bring it back to normal level and the boat is floating again. My coworker offered it to me for basically free, all titles included. He's selling the house at the dock it's at and has since bought a larger boat for his family. The motor is a Johnson 90 SPL and it's the "ran when parked" scenario. He said it didn't start last time he tried, but he didn't spend too much time troubleshooting it. Motors dont scare me, but i'm pretty new to boats. I had (technically still have) a 1981 Sea Nymph Fishing Machine that was my grandfather's passed onto us. It's an aluminum fishing boat, so I wouldn't begin comparing much. I am told it needs a bow eye, some basic motor tuneups to get it going again, and the upholstery is pretty much shot. I haven't opened it up to look at the floor yet, but I imagine there will be a few surprises down there.

Looks like a much better starting point than some of the projects on here! The key is going to be a thorough inspection of all the structure. Transom, stringers and bulkheads.

And lets face it, you cant beat the price!!

I Agree!!! Check for soft spots in the floor. Those Johnson Motors are almost bulletproof so I wouldn't worry to much about her. Normal servicing should get her running like new. DON'T forget a NEW impeller.

I ordered an impeller kit, 18-3392 i think it was? I also ordered this Star Brite tank cleaner on recommendation from someone else. I'm researching the fuel line sizes now, it definitely needs a new bulb and some line. The steering was stuck but with enough perserverence, grease, and pb blaster it broke free.

Mod EDIT: Iboats is an online retailer and sells these products. Please do not post info, links and etc for competitors. Thanks
