Hey,<br /><br />I have a Wellcraft 240 Coastal with a Suzuki 225, and the boat's always gone 38-40kts until recently. Now, wide open and trimmed, it won't go more than 22-23kts. It has the same prop (Michigan SST Rapture), and we checked the boat for barnacles and growth. There were a few barnacles on the side, and a few on the centerline. Nothing major that couldn't be popped off with a plastic ruler. I figure that's not the problem, because if it was, it wouldn't be turning full RPM's (6000) and wouldn't slow it down almost 20kts. Someone suggested that the prop hub is spinning, and I replace it. So it out and didn't look too bad, but I had to press it to make it come out. I just got it back from the machine shop and will put a new hub in this weekend. Does that sound right, or anyone else have suggestions? Thanks.
