I am looking at buying a 2001 38 foot Sea Ray with mercruiser 454 magnum engines. The original engines have been replaced due to an exhaust problem that created a reversion issue. Sea Ray says they have fixed the problem when they put in the new engines in 2004 by using an updated exhaust system. They say this was an industry wide problem for those years. I am wondering if they have really fixed the problem.
