To everyone out there thinking "what a moron" after studying the blow up of the parts list from mercury whomever took the lowere unit off before me turned the retainer backwards so I hade to take the impeller housing apart before droping the unit. I then found ou that "they" had installed the impeller wrong along with leaving out two of the washers.
You need to find another tech! Better yet....you did it once, thats half of servicing your motor. Now just replace the lower unit oil, plugs, t-stat, and clean the carb and you can do your own work.
