1999 25hp 3 cyl Johnson no spark

Hasn't run in 5 or 6 years. I cleaned all the carbs and fuel lines because lots of oil sitting in them motor started ran ok, needs a good run. Started again then quit. Pulled plugs no spark, checked connections tried again and got spark on top cyl tried starting again, it ran for 20 seconds then quit now no spark. Put new plugs in and still no spark. Not sure where to start

If you have no spark at all, you may have a cdi of some sort on that engine. I dunno for sure as I only have older 70/73 with points system. Make sure your plug wires are in good shape and not cracked and give any other ignition harness a good visual inspection. You also may have a key switch failure not letting power thru it. check fuses ect.
Find a manual online if you dont have one and follow the troubleshooting charts. Might get you to think of something simple.

Yes that motor has a CDI system with optical eye.-----That motor has some parts that they are proud of.----You need to be sure of your testing ability or spend up to $1500 guessing with new parts.

When I test the two centre orange wires from the connector on the right I get 88.1.
