1999 40 HP Force, Spitting or Pissing?

Well I'm a new/used Force engine owner. I put her in the water for the first tiem yesterday and I'm noticing the engine is SPITTING, rathering than pissing.

Is this normal for the Force 40 or should it be PISSING out?

Yup. Check out the thread on putting a pee tube on that engine .
