1999 5.0 alpha cuts off at idle

1999 5.0L alpha Thunderbolt V ignition cuts off at idle after warming up.The engine has just been rebuilt, it runs great everywhere else. The problem seems to come and go, sometimes (when working on it) I can't get it to cut off, but when you least expect it (when fish are biting) it dies.Most of the time I can jump the starter slave solenoid (behind the carb.) and it will fire up and go fine.When it cuts off, it has no fire at the coil or gauges and the alarm that sounds when the key is turned on doesn't sound. Does it "cut off" while shifting, or while in gear and idleing?

Thanks for the reply 180, it only cuts off when in gear and idleling, mostly when trolling.
