I have a 1999 75hp 3cyl that will occasionally stall when I have it in gear. This is really only a problem when I am trolling. most of the time I can idle around for a bit but it will eventually just stop. The fuel pump is new and along with the bulb and connector, I don't believe I am getting any air in the system. Also the bulb stays firm. One other odd thing I have found, which makes it difficult for anyone else to drive, is that I have to set the idle a bit high (with the shifter) every time I start. I still use the "push in to choke" but it never fails I have to throttle up just a bit. It idles in gear just under 800 rpm. It is sometimes a bit rough (bogs) below 3000rpm which is usually helped by pressing in the key momentarily and is smooth as glass from 3000+ to 5000 rpm. I would guess this is just an adjustment issue but I haven't found a good post on a carb adjustment. This is an otherwise great running motor, it starts every time and none of the issues have been bad enough to keep me off the water, it would just be nice to just turn the key have it start and idle from the dock without having to rev it up in idle, let it settle down and then place it in gear.
