My live well pump quit, not sure if one pump runs both live wells? The areators still work but nothing from the pump. I have checked the fuse and it is fine. I think it is the pump that has the screen on the transom of the boat. Are they easy to change and anyone know what pump I need for this boat. I hope there is a way to change without going thru that small round hole that I remove to take out the drain plug. Also looking for a new switch as it seems to be worn and does not start the pump all the time.

I'd replace the switch first if you've been having problems with it.

The pump is pretty easy to replace, but you will have to go through the small round hole and will only be able to work with one hand.

You can get an Attwood replacement pump at Walmart for about $30.

I can get the switch to work by wiggling it. I just do not know what kind of pump to get as it goes thru the transom there are so many different kinds of pumps

The best thing to do is to go ahead and remove your old pump and see exactly what you have.

A quick google search shows this one at walmart:

While this one would work going through the transom of my boat, the hose connection on top of the pump wouldn't work. The coupling on that particular pump is threaded and mine needs to be smooth for the hose to slide down over and be secured with a hose clamp.

So remove your old one and see what you have before buying a new one.
