Hi
I need the wire colors and what they control so I can troubleshoot my friends truck. Also does this truck take a converter box?

Thanks Steve

My advice get a simple LED voltage indicator and undo a taillight harness from your taillight. Place one probe against the chassis"ground" and the other into a random pin in the harness. This is much easier with two people but can be done with one. Turn on the turn signal for whichever taillight you have removed and move from pin to pin until the LED begins to blink... Follow the same procedure for the brake and runinng lights.

Converters are required only if the turn and stop lights use separate bulbs. If the truck has amber turn signals, that would indicate separate bulbs. Some Dodge vehicles do use separate stop and turn signal bulbs (red) and therefore do need to use a converter. Don't know about the Dakota though.
