1999 Evinrude 15hp 4 Stroke Fuel Pump

A buddy of mine has a 15hp 4 Stroke Evinrude, 1999 model.
The fuel pump fails about every three years.
Its failing again and now the pumps are no longer available.
Is there an alternate pump that could be used by chance?
Thoughts? Ideas?

Use the available rebuild kit. Read the directions 12 times before attempting. It can be tricky if you do not THOROUGHLY understand all the little details.

I have rebuilt dozens of the standard two stroke fuel pumps, just never the 4 stroke.
Will give it a shot. And I do understand the 12 times. I'm slow so it may take 24 times!!!
