1999 Evinrude 225 ficht Starts but won't Run Longer than 90 seconds

Due to the Complexity of the ficht fuel system I did not remove the Bad Fuel Pump from the Fuel Circuit . It must have failed mechanically because I finally Figured Out how to take it out of the Fuel Circuit by Switching the Line on Top of the Pump to the Top of the Fuel Filter/Water Separator and Vice Versa . This Boat has Never Ran this Good in the whole Time I've Owned it ( 10 Years ) . It Idles Smooth , does not surge and Starts Immediately Upon Turning the Key . I've had it to Numerous " Professional " Shops and they ALL told Me that's how the ficht's Run ?? ALL IN $350.00 and I wish I'd worked on it Myself A Long time ago .
