just acquired, no history appears very clean & runs good.what if anything should i do as preventive maintanace and also what is the mant. schedule on such a rig. did not come with a manual. your input sincerly appriciated.also slight clash when engage forward or reverse is this acceptable and or normal it is not loud or grinding but nonetheless there

Afternoon neumanns,<br /><br />Don't specifically know your motor but even if I did, that wouldn't change my reply.<br /><br />Best suggestion would be to get a service manual. It will guide you through procedures, schedule, and give necessary info for repairs.<br /><br />Manuals can be purchased at a varity of locations including here at iboats (link at the bottom of the page), omc dealer, ebay etc.<br /><br />Good Luck<br />HAVE FUN!

appriciate input Klondike My intent is to acquire said manuel it is not available at i boats. pursuing other avenues. just looking for ideas until i find one.

Ahoy, Neumanns.<br /><br />I acquired the Service Manual for my 2001 Suzuki DF70 on ebay. I think they are the same engine.<br /><br />Good luck.

JB, I too have concluded this will keep itin mind. do you have a momentary clash of gears upon prop engagment also would be very intrested in what interval is recomended for gear lube change.also from your expiernce how much fuel does it take for a full day of play, would not want to get caught short if and when the ice here finally thaws.

JB, mpg should vary but would hourly fuel consumption be affected ? I do not know how to email you off post board however most here seem quite reputable and well behaved so here goes; ************* your time and effort will be highly regarded as it will be weeks before i recieve my own set of books and i'm not exceptional in the patience dept.
