First, let me say I am no mechanic by any means. This motor has performed extremely well over the past 12 years. It is so quiet, I am often asked at the landing if it is running or not!

Today while sitting at the ramp with the motor idleing waiting of my wife to back in the trailer, I noticed a noise that I had never heard before. Closer examination revealed it it an exhaust-type sound / feeling coming out of a small port hole just to the left of the water pump indicator on the back of the motor.

I have never heard it before and concerned as to what to do about it. Does anyone know what this is / may be and should I take it in to the mechanic who is "backed up for 5 weeks?"

Thanks,

Inlet Tom

There is a plug on port side of the exhaust hsg. It threads in. Make sure that is still there and hasn't fallen out.

Plug is OK. Any other thoughts?

Many thanks!
