1999 Johnson Ocean Pro 150 Idle mixture adjustment

Just before I pull the carbs for a rebuild I thought I would adjust the Idle Jets ( if that is the correct terms).

When I went to screw (allen wrench) them in to check to see where the current base starting point was and I found they were set to 7 1/2 turns out. And they seemed very loose at that point.

On most every carbs I've built it seems these type of screws were 1/2 - 1 1/2 turn out to start then adjust from there.

The initial setting on those screws was 5-6 turns out. You have to remember that's a very fine threaded screw.
