This is my first boat and so my first motor. Does anyone have or had this motor and can give me an opinon? Good , bad , reliable etc...

I know maintanace is everything, but all things being equal, is this a relialbe motor?

No HRS meter on it but it has been checked out by a reiable shop.

Thanks in advance. :)

Set up correctly and mainted properly you'll have no issues other than the amount of fuel it uses. Don't lug it, set it up for as close to 6000 with an average load as possible (you don't have to run it there, that's just the target top rpm). If it's on the boat in your signature, you'll be very happy. Good rig.

That is the boat. It is thirsty but I figure to have it for a couple of years while I learn and then move up to a newer rig with a four stroke.

Thanks for the feedback.

Up until a couple years ago I had a 22 Vector Hydra-Sport. Great boat! Go thru 5' of nasty like it wasn't even there.........

If you think it burns more than it should, check the hi speed jets. Todays fuel eats at them and makes the hole bigger. If that happens the hole will probably not be round either.
