i have 1999 cobra 190d with a 99 merc 200 efi. It has a 6 inch set back with a 25 tempest prop. Right now the boat runs 60-61 with me alone and a light load at about 5600-5700 rpm. this cant be right. I've been reading where identicle cobra boats with the same setup are getting high 60's and low 70's out of them. Had the motor checked out and the compression is fine......Is it possible that i need a 23 pitch. Max Rpm's for the motor is 5800. Any suggestions.
