I'm in the market for a Bayliner Capri with a mercury 1999 150hp efi.
My question is about the engine.
1. Is there anything that i should look out for? eg. Elimination of VRO on an Evinrude
2. Should this engine be avoided?
3. Is this motor fairly easy to repair? the most i've done is rebuild a 1986 70hp evinrude, with VRO elimination
4. does this thing have an ECU or something?
The guy said it had 145psi on all six cylinders.
I'm just not familiar with these later 2 stroke models, i like the 3 liter GM inboards but if these 2 stroke 150hp are tank tough then i have no problem going with it.
