Recently bought this motor and noticed oil leaning from the tilt/trim, was not sure where the oil was coming from. But saw it around the lower portion of the tilt cylinder, was not coming from top of this cylinder. Took it to the dealer and they said oil had metal shavings in it and I needed a new whole unit at $1500. said it would be about the same cost as rebuilding. It was working just leaking oil. I don't mind doing work on this, and would be willing to rebuild myself, just don't know parts I would need or skill level. also are there after market replacements? Thanks in advance for the help
