1999 or 2000 model Johnson??? help with ID

25hp Johnson model number J25TESSD s/n G 04777066.<br />is this a 1999 or 2000 model?? where might i find a service manual or illustrated parts catalog for this engine? a small white plastic(teflon?) part of the throttle linkage sheared today and im looking for nomenclature/instruction for repair. this is a tiller model. thanks for any info anybody can give me and please let me know if more info is needed.

It a 2000 model (SS is the year code, in this case 2000, 1999 would be EE). As for the rest you might check with a Johnson/Evinrude dealer.

thanks for the info SquirrelQueen. this outboard is on my father's boat and he told me it was a 2000, but there was a 1999 on a tag above the model and serial numbers, so i wasnt sure or even if there would be a difference.<br /><br />i was able to locate and purchase a service manual on eBay last night. thanks again for the information.
