What is the switch for ? the wire goes in a bunch of wires and i cant trace it , it does nothing on panel , or any where on vessel i can see , it has 12 volts to it and the lil red light comes on , showing it is on , but i dont know what its activating , i dont see no lights under console etc , so what is this cockpit switch normally used for ? i bought the boat second hand and the owner didint know either. i trace the wire far as i could but i didnt want to start undoing everything. thx for any thoughts.

170s don't have many electrical appliances. Bilge pump, livewell pump, horn, Nav Lghts, that's about it. If all those are working, could be an accessory switch...
