Any personal experiences with the boat? Repowered in 2004 with Merc 350 MAG MPI engines w/ 300 hrs. It's 30'10" long, 10'6" beam, dry weight of 10,600# and 21 deg deadrise. If you care to look at it, you can easily find it on the big boat sites, located in NY. Any and all opinions or comments is welcomed.

I think this may be the one. Good bye Grady, hello Pursuit.... hopefully.

Re: 1999 Pursuit 3000 Express

Original engines did have problems with water intrusion. It was a Merc design issue and a costly one at that... Merc repaired or replaced every engine. They also lost a manufacturer, as Pursuit switched to Crusader. This one was repowered in 2004 and the problem corrected. Wish it had Crusaders, but the price is so right and I'm not totally against the Mercs, being so new and as long they have been maintained.

worth a look, and get a survey, don't take seller's. use different surveyor. and a water test. you can't tell diddly on land.

Looks like a nice boat, Pursuit builds a good product and Mercury 350 Mags are good engines provided they fixed the reversion problems when they were replaced. What do you plan on using it for primarily? Where do you plan on keeping it? Good luck with the purchase if you end up going through with it.

Re: 1999 Pursuit 3000 Express

obviously, any offer made will be contingent upon survey and sea trial.

from everything i can tell, the water intrusion problem was corrected once merc replaced he engines. these were done for just that.

only thing my inspection showed that concerned me was a minor leak at two of the cabin hatches. but no water damage or smell, so it must be new or very minor. dealer stated they would reseat all hatches after i showed him.

i took 164 pics, and i've probably reviewed them 50 times already. i think an offer may go tomorrow, wish me luck.

Re: 1999 Pursuit 3000 Express

these are straight inboards. pursuit never made anything with an i/o.

we'll see what happens. it's the right boat and offered at a realistic price. with the soft market, should be able to get a decent deal on a quality boat. will let you guys know how it turns out.
