Posting once again.

A friend of mine wants to take a look at this. Only one picture available (another friend stopped on the side of the road and snapped it). He looked inside and said it looked pretty nice.

Here is the Syracuse, NY Craigslist Ad:

Great 25' Trophy fishing boat with 225 hp Mercury outboard. Great size to take out on the big waters around here. Nice boat! On tandem axle trailer, new tires and bearings. Bimini Top, Vee berth with small sink, very nice condition, come and get it! In Bridgeport, NY on Route 31. Call with questions or for info, emails may not be answered. 315-324-6915. Time to FISH!!

Is this a "normal" setup w/ the outboard attached to the swim platform? Will this affect speed or planing?

I mentioned it to my friend and he actually liked it, but was wondering if this would pull a skier?

Any help / suggestions of what to look at on this boat would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

I told my friend I probably wouldn't spend more than 14.5K - 15K tops on this boat... thoughts?

Yes Chris, thats the normal way some manufacturers integrate the swim platform w/ the engine bracket. Makes for a larger cockpit & a small increase in speed w/ the prop running in less turbulant water. It's not going to be a speed demon w/ the 225 hp, probably 38 - 42 mph wot w/ any kind of load. 25 - 30 mph cruising. I'd recommend a professional survey for hull & motor. It's going to burn some fuel though, more so if it's not the Optimax. Good luck !!!
