Thanks very much guys! And sorry I didn't respond to your posts in the last hour or so. I saw some early congratulations, but the fat lady hadn't sung yet. You are the fat lady aren't you jb? Since we've never met, it'd be hard to recognize you. I didn't want to say anything until it was official from jb. I'm very happy that so many have thought my rebuild worthy against such great competition.

The admiral knows, but I haven't yet told my brother who passed the boat to me from his in-laws who were the original owners. His father-in-law, who has now passed, was always very proud of the boat, which was purchased specifically to haul materials to build a cottage on an island in Georgian Bay. I wired that cottage which was sold many years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't get the boat finished in time to have good weather for a trip down memory lane for the family to re-visit the island in the boat as planned last September. We hope to still get there next season. There's a lot of history, good memories and maybe a ghost surrounding this boat, so this award means a lot. My daughter has vowed to keep the boat for a long time and says she'll keep getting me out in it, even if she needs to use a davit to swing this old fart onto it. Thanks again, guys. - Grandad
