"Aloha" from Mass., great forums and information. I am looking to pick up a used '71' 222 HiLiner Sportsman. The HIN (DLZ082801182) says it is a 1982, but it is supposed to be a 1971, what's up with that?
What are the ups and downs of this boat? I have heard good things about the 'Ray Hunt' hull and design, and have seen a few comments about this boat on iboats, but what is the feasibility of this being an open ocean fishing boat?
The boat is in good fiberglass condition. It originally had a 4cyl, alum block, but the head went and the guy has recently started to put in a 6 cyl, 250hp, 165 into it. I will have a lot of work ahead I'm sure.
