Howdi, I got to try our new SX Smart Tabs today.
The difference is amazing. almost zero bow rise,
Gets on plain much faster,
I noticed it more responsive when i did a number of fast and slow turns.
I did notice a slight increase in WOT speed 2-3 mph (Speedo).

2003 Bayliner 175, 3.0L Mercruiser, 13"22-4 blade Prop, Alpha 1, SX Smart Tabs,
Monster Tower, with 2 adults & 1 child onboard during test.

Over all very impressed.

That's an interesting photo of your boat on the lake, either your getting ready to tow another boat or your ski rider has some brass ones.

Watch out for the plastic pins that connect the tab to the boat... Mine failed last week leaving one tab flapping around in the water.

If you look close he replaced them with some cool aluminum (or metal) ones...

I've been thinking about installing on mine. do they interfere any with the ladder? Do you think they will be any issue for swimmers off the back?

Hi, the pins and couplings are 316 S/S I made them myself as I didn't want any problems,

Nope. no issue, I checked that out before mounting mine. I have about 9-10 inches of clearance,

We own a 06 Glastron 175 sx and smart tabs would interfere with my ladder. I went onto the nauticus site, I can't remember where I found the specs for the tabs, instalation section maybe. I then made a cardboard mock up and unfortunately with the ladder down they will be in conflict with the tab. I am thinking of changing out my stock ladder for one that comes up over the platform, but I cannot find any exact dimensions for the ladder I would like, so i am not sure if it will stand off of the transom far enough not to interfere. Man I want some of those tabs for my boat!

Here is a picture of the pin change I made on my Smart Tabs SX.
You will need a 5/16 pin from Lowes and a short piece of 50 lb braid fishing line.
I had to drill out the hole with a 5/16 bit as it is a very tight fit.

Maybe my vision is going but it still looks to me that the Pins (2) between the transom and the tab (Not the pin between the actuator and the tab) are the plastic ones that came with the tabs.

Hi there, the top coupling is still plastic but the pins are deff 316 S/S.
You can see the split pin through the pin.
I'll be changing the top mounts next week.

I have a Bayliner 175. The trailer tie downs would go right over the smart tabs if I installed them. Was yours like this? What did you do to get around this problem?
