2 20hp rudes

Just picked up 2 68 20hp rudes for 100.00 owner says they both ran good when he stored 5 years age. good deal or not?

Stole 'em! If they were basically healthy when they were put away they may need nothing more than waterpump impellers, clean and gap the points, clean the carbs, and a check of all the hoses. Good, clean, running motors like that, even that old, can get upwards of $400-$500 in this area...

yea i know we have a resivior here that allows 20hp max you cant find any in this area they are like gold.

I would have bought 'em and ran to the truck before he changed his mind! Even if they need a little work, that's a great bargain on a great motor. How 'bout a report when you get them running?

I will definatly let you know when i look at them a little closer how good of a deal. and yes i left so fast that guy only seen a blur with a 100.00 floating in the air.

Of course you could clean one up real purty and stick it on eBay - then retire! At least that's what this guy looks like he's trying to do...

$900 for a clean old 20 E/J.... Check completed auctions- that's not far off. The guy tried 1250, now 900...I suspect he'll keep dropping..

Got my 75 20HP for $300 and I'm not sure why I was the only bidder, I thought I stole it...

but 2 for $100- terrific deal!
