Bad engine...

can i rip the motor out a ford ranger and convert all the marine parts to it and run that?

or.....

What other engine(s) will bolt in place and work? is a v8 conversion pricey?

my understanding is the short block (block, crank, pistons, oil pumtp, timing belt and pullies ) are the same. Everything else is marine (intake and exhaust manifolds, carb, starter, distributor, alternator, etc. You should be able to do it.

cylinder head is the same too?

my boat had the cylinder taken off for a head gasket then sat apart out side for 3 years without being covered up. So i have everything but the head is seized up and cylinder walls rusty ect...

if I could pop a ford ranger or mustang motor in that would be super..... years that would be compatible....???
