Yes but there’s no marks in belt cover on an omc cobra 2.3 motor that I can see after cleaning cover. Plus do I need to remove belt in order to reveal diamond marks on oil pump and cam wheel?

The marks are on the pullies. The cover is just so you dont hurt yourself
