I recently got an old Johnson Seahorse 2.5 HP mod. # HD 25, ser.# 84 4825. Am I correct in assuming it is a 1948 model? Where might I find a service and/or owners manual for it? Thanks, J L Scott

HD-25s were made from 1946 to 1950, JL, so it could be a '48. I don't have the Ser# listings, so I can't tell you that.

You can probably get a reprint of the original Manual from kencook.com.

Good luck. :)

What JB told you is correct including where to get a manual. I also have one of those old engines and it still fires up on the second pull. As a matter of fact, I bought a second one at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago for $20 and with a couple hours worth of cleaning, she also fired right up. Good luck with it. I'm sure it will serve you very well
Stalkere

Thanks for the replies. I'll check with kencook for a manual. JLS
