2.5ltr Landrover Inboard diesel engine salt water cooled??

Hello I am looking to buy a Glastron V165 with an 2.5ltr Landrover Inboard diesel engine salt water cooled, As far as i know this is an aluminum engine.
Is this a Problem? Is it work buying and converting to heat exchanger??

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,..... I've got that motor in my 1967 series IIa, 'n it's an All cast iron motor,....

I'd have to guess the motor swap happened, Well after the boat left the factory,....

The engine was put in 5 years ago.
Would it be ok seeing it is cast iron or would it need an exchanger?

Ayuh,... If yer boatin' in Brine, freshwater coolin' is most always a good idea,...
But,...
After 5 Years of Brine, it's too late, it's salt soaked, 'n will react with the antifreeze,...

Run 'er til she rots out, 'n then worry 'bout freshwater coolin',...

So is Yer motor cast iron or aluminum,..?? A magnet will tell ya,...

Look like the previous owner only used the boat in fresh water.
I would like to fit a heat exchanger header tank.
Any recommendations to type for size for 2.5 liter landrover engine?
