Whent out yesterday eavening motor sounded funny well all I got out of it was 2800 rpm did some sniffing around and the #2 cylinder was not firing. Today I threw a back up coil on and the problem was still there no spark? 89' 60 hrs evinrude motor always ran fine up until this point. I did notice that the wires to the coil were hanging outward and I may have pulled on them when installing the motor cover?

Model number? The more information you provide, the sooner you get an answer that makes sense.

Just for grins squirt some gas into the dead cylinder, maybe the carb picked up some crap, may not be spark.

yall don't think that wire getting tugged on would mess up in the power pack. The orange and purple wire to be exact.
