Hello again. Following up on several previous posts on this little Evinrude (2602s). After rebuilding the carb, replacing the points, it will not run unless the choke is half closed..then it runs fine but not for long.
1. Unsuccessful clearing of tiny passages in the carb.
2. Clogged fuel feed from the integral tank to the carb.
The orifices into the carb throat are very small and very hard to get at. I use a small wire bent into an "L". They can be accessed by removing the plug on the top, but you will need a new plug.
There is a filter on the inside of the tank. . . part of the tank outlet. It may be plugged up.
"not for long" suggests overheating. Did you replace the impeller?
