2 mantiaance questions

Two question on maintenance for a 30 hp outboard Nissan motor. Number one looking ar
t the first picture where do I grease this . 2nd question is there a way to remove and clean the rod shown in picture 2? As you can it is rather rusty. Thanks in adavance.

I would remove that pin and make a replacement.----I would take an old Johnson / Evinrude stainless drive shaft from the 1960's and make that pin.

Thanks. I don’t like the rust, pin is still solid but…….
