2 MDI Transducers, 1 head unit???

Hi yall.
Ive searched high and low, asked everybody i know. Cant seem to get a solid answer.
New Ultrex with built-in MDI is going on new boat. Shopping for graphs. Humminbird. Clearly I need a DI compatible graph. But, I need to run a transducer off the transom so I have data and GPS while motoring with my graph at the helm.
I do not need or want a graph at the bow. How is this achieved? Some have said you can run 2 'ducers off 1 head with a split-screen, others say not possible, and others say its possible but the Mega eats up too much battery to run 2 tranducers off 1 head so I need 2 Mega capable units
So which one is it? Thanks a ton.

Why did you start a second thread?

GPS data is not supplied by a transducer. That comes from an internal or external GPA antenna. I'm not sure how deep the GPS signal penetrates water.

By leaving the 2nd unit on the sales counter.

I thought i deleted the original one. The original postings forum section was dead.

And i believe you know what I mean. Theres a way people run Built in MDI in addition to transducer off the back. I want to use both transducers. Just randomly buying a $2000 unit and hoping everything works is something anybody can do.

You can't delete threads you or anyone starts. Only Mods can delete. The section you first used isn't dead. You may be expecting instant results on a holiday weekend.

Yes.. Could be. Just figured id put it somewhere where there was more activity.

Anways. I have a 80lb 52" shaft Ultrex with built in MDI.
I realize I need to purchase a Graph that will support said Mega Down Imaging if i want to use that feature. So im looking at a model such as Gen4 Helix 12 MDI or a Solix 12.
But...if i need to purchase 2 heads to run a main transducer off the boat in addition to the built in MDI, Ill probably lean towards the Gen4 Helix models.
Optimal outcome is having dual DI compatibility front and rear off my main unit at the helm. But if that physically can not happen, ill buy a cheaper unit to throw in at the bow.
