2 mystery wires

i pulled the powerhead on a 1995 40 hp Force and i have got it all back together except these two red wires that go to a fuse thats under the coil packs there are two wires in my main harness that i think they go to but i'm not sure...one is a solid red and the other is a red with a bluish purple stripe any help is greatly appreciated

That is a fuse off the rectifier and protects the charging system. If that fuse blows, there will be no power to the ignition switch. SO: If you turn the key and nothing happens, before you do anything else, check the fuse.

Where do the wires comming from the fuse hook to ?? into the harness for the ignition ?? my problem is i unhooked it and cant remember where it goes (there were a few connectors that were never connected to begin with that come out of the main harness)

The red wire goes to the hot side of starter solenoid. The same connector that the battery or voltage regulator is connected to. Find bullet connector on the red wire that goes to the starter solenoid. The other wire, red/purple connects to the red/purple wire in the wiring harness that goes to the dash.
